Starting from today Domain Names are able to registered addresses in targeted/specific/additional newGTLDs (Global Top Level Domains).
Today sees the general availability of the first 7 newGTLDs:
with more than 1000 more coming out during 2014’s weekly newGTLD roll-out.
As of now the internet domain name systems are changing on a scale never seen before – no longer are you limited to just the appropriate country code (ccTLD) or the legacy generics. This is an exciting time for domain registrants who can now specify a relevant name for their websites

The initial 7 are now available to register at Astutium Domain Checker.
Anyone can register names in these new gTLDS on a first-come, first-served basis
Additional domains will be rolled out weekly throughout 2014 – to keep up to date with the launch schedules subscribe to our New Global Top Level Domain Mailing List.
Company and Brand owners also need to be aware of the availability and challenges they will face, and those with a relevant trademark should speak to us about TM protection and advance registration services to protect their intellectual property
