120 New Domain Types – what are they all for ?

2009 will see an explosion of new gTLD’s appearing (or at least planned) after proposals under the new ICANN guidelines – ICANN New gTLD Program – relaxed a number of the constraints.

First up already announced is .paris … a city with it’s own domain type …

Expect hundreds if not thousands more sponsored gTLDs (sTLDs) to follow
